Telecom Khata Privacy Policy
Effective: 11 September 2026
Telecom Khata is an offline-first accounting app for telecom and MFS businesses. This policy explains what information is stored locally, what may be sent to cloud services when you choose online features, and how you can request deletion.
1. Local accounting data
Core accounting records such as wallets, opening and closing balances, customer dues, B2B/partner balances, expenses, notes, reminders, reports, PIN/security preferences and local backups are primarily stored on your device. Using offline accounting does not require a Telecom Khata cloud account.
2. Google/Firebase account data
If you choose Google sign-in, Firebase Authentication processes your account identity. Telecom Khata may receive identifiers and basic profile information made available by Google, such as your user ID, display name and email address. Cloud account data is used for authentication, entitlement, backup/sync foundations and restore-related features.
3. Cloud records
When online features are used, Telecom Khata may store account-scoped records in Firebase services, including profile information, Premium entitlement records, backup metadata (for example backup ID, checksum, size, timestamps and device identifier) and server-side purchase-verification records. The current backup foundation does not upload the local accounting backup contents unless a cloud upload feature is explicitly enabled in a future version.
4. Purchases
Google Play processes subscriptions and purchases. Telecom Khata sends purchase tokens to its Firebase backend for server verification and stores only the records needed to verify or restore entitlement. Google Play may retain purchase history under Google's own policies even if a Telecom Khata cloud account is deleted.
5. Security
PIN and biometric controls are used to protect local app access. Biometric verification is handled by the device operating system; Telecom Khata does not receive your fingerprint or biometric template.
6. Support links
If you contact support through WhatsApp or email, the selected external app or service processes the information you send under its own privacy terms. Telecom Khata does not automatically read your contacts, SMS, call history or precise location for core accounting.
7. Third-party services
The app uses Google/Firebase services and Google Play Billing. These SDKs may process device, diagnostics, authentication or service-related data as needed to provide their functions. The Play Console Data safety declaration must remain consistent with the SDKs and features included in the released build.
8. Account deletion
Signed-in users can initiate a cloud-account deletion request from Telecom Khata: Settings → Data management → “অ্যাকাউন্ট ডিলিটের অনুরোধ”. The app prepares a request addressed to Telecom Khata support. After identity verification, the Telecom Khata Firebase account and associated Telecom Khata server-side records are removed. For safety, local accounting records on the device are not automatically erased by cloud account deletion. Local records can be removed separately using the in-app accounting reset option.
You can also request deletion without the app from our account deletion page.
9. Data retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete/reset it, uninstall the app subject to Android backup behavior, or replace it through a restore action. Telecom Khata cloud account records are removed when an account deletion request is successfully completed. A request sent through the external deletion page may require limited identity verification before deletion is completed. Information held independently by another service, such as Google Play transaction history, is governed by that service's own retention obligations and policies.
